Great Music, Great acting, Great movie!!
debrayeforever9 October 2001
This movie is really great, when you see it for the first time you can really feel the chill of the great live performances that appear on the film. I regret that I never saw it on its original version and instead on VHS.

Also the music on the film is really great; its mostly done by Maidi Roth which is supreme musician and as you can see through out the picture see also really nows how to act! Virgine Ledoyen also has a very interesting kind of auto-destructive character with the super-seductive touch that only she can give to the performance.

And at last but not least the plot is displayed in a very innovative way that makes a lot of people, that are so deep into "the rules of making a plot", say that the director was out of his mind, but if you like movies with a different non hollywoodesque perspective about the struggle for success of a rock band then you have to watch this film!

truly awful

i have seen most of the talented young actress's films and being from france myself i can truly say that this film is unrealistic has no storyline and is the worst film i've seen. The director must have been in a trance of some sort making this one. do not watch it

A great movie
mcclane246 December 2000
I wasn't expecting a lot before watching the movie but I was really amazed to see a well-directed film with a solid plot and great actors. Even if some moments look like a Music-video of MTV, Virginie Ledoyen does her job as good as the unknown Maidi Roth. The French cinema shows one more time that it is able to produce more than only boring movies you only watch in order to have seen them. This movie is the beginning of a new French cinema which has burst with "Taxi" and "Taxi 2" directed by Gerard Krawczik, too. I really wonder why it hasn't had as much success as "Taxi".

Great Movie, Better Soundtrack
NebuchadnezzaR1 October 2001
I saw this movie years ago and still remember how great it is. I had heard the soundtrack before watching the movie and although I liked it, it wasn't until I watched the movie that the soundtrack got a whole new meaning. Besides the excellent soundtrack, performed and composed by Maïdi Roth for this film, the movie it self shows a phenomenal plot, a very interesting story and excellent performances by the actors. This truly is one of my favorite movies and I recommend it for everyone to watch. I just hope that soon there will be a DVD release of it in the US.
