- A few mild sexual innuendo.
- Some young male characters do appear nude, butts and penises are visible in many of these scenes, however the nudity is undetailed.
- A couple of characters are depicted as perverted, and are shown reading pornography (nothing is seen) and groping women's breasts and butts, though it doesn't occur too often.
Violence & Gore

- Martial arts style fighting violence throughout and this series can gets violent, with some blood.
- This show features a lot of fantasy violence, such as Fists, Swords, Machine guns, Lasers, etc.
- Many characters are killed and mortally wounded/scarred. Some evil characters are merciless and often kill weak, defenseless characters - including young/child ones. Heaven and Hell and other elements of the Afterlife appeared, though Akira Toriyama's take on the afterlife is actually quite comedic. The show does contain violent scenes, including scenes where characters are impaled, however no innards or explicit content on the characters are usually shown, aside from blood.
Profanity

- In the English dub, minced oath words like "heck", "darn", "crud", "goodness" and "gosh" are mostly used, and language are rare with mild to none, such as "hell", "damn", "bastard", "ass", "piss" and "crap".
- Nothing really outside of the aforementioned scenes of pervertedness. There is very little profane language.
- Words like damn, idiot, imbecile and (occasionally) ass are used.
- A few middle fingers are seen throughout the show.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

- Many characters drink and smoke socially. One character becomes comedically drunk in one of the movies.
Frightening & Intense Scenes

- Some characters death can be emotional.
- The sequence of fighting action are intense.
- Occasionally dark and disturbing spiritual fascinations are also built into the series.
- Some scenes of characters getting massacred/beaten/etc. do get pretty frightening and suspenseful.

- Krillin, Goku's friend since the first series, is killed. Very sad as he cannot be revived with the dragon balls a second time.
