One of my favs

I barely remember this show, considering that I was around 6 or 7 when it was on, but I do remember that it was one of my favorites. I've dubbed "The Guys" as the Monkees of the '90s. They were attractive, and the music wasn't actually that bad. I miss them ~!~

New Kids on The Block Serial

This is a more or less a musical drama/comedy of a few guys who are not great singer, but to a few friends.... Kind of cute and can sing and dance.

The show ran about six months and was pulled from the morning lineup basically because it boring and well..... boring.

Music was OK, there was a soundtrack on tape only, self-titled and hard to find.... Try eBay or something if you are into this sort of stuff.

Their signature song "I've been waiting for you" is kind of nice and pleasant and unlike Milli Vanilli, was actually sung by the guys. Where are they now?? One has to wonder.......

Out of 10, I give this a 2, the shows were lame and boring and will not, did not appeal to the audiences or yesteryear or today.. hence why it was pulled.

The Best Show of the Early 90s!!!

I used to watch this show all the time. They had some of the best sketch comedy I've every seen, and nobody seems to remember them much. I can't believe they don't have a huge cult following. Their music was pretty lame, (in hindsight... at the time i thought it rocked) but their personal chemistry and comedy was what made this show shine.

I loved this show and the guys!

This was a Saturday morning show on NBC probably to take advantage of the teen market that watched "Saved By the Bell" and other teen shows. I have a VHS tape of videos from the show I found at a flea market The guys were cute,it was as funny as any show on now if not funnier and the music was pretty good.It reminded me of "The Monkees".Lots of skits, jokes, songs. They all lived together and a video was shown each show with them singing.Who knows what fame they guys would have found if it had been a hit.I know Patrick Dancy who was the only African-American in the group guested on many shows and at one time in real life dated Tina Yothers who played Jennifer the youngest daughter on "Family Ties".

*btw I heard that the show was axed because the management representing New Kids On The Block threatened to sue.

The Guys Next Door were fabulous. I had the soundtrack to the series and still sing their tunes in my head from time to time. "Telephone Talking" was one of my faves of theirs!!!!! I looked forward to every Saturday morning so that I could watch their show. It was clean and fun..

boy band mania

I used to love this show. Back in the day when the New Kids held a special place in my trapper keeper I couldn't wait for Saturday mornings so I could watch 5 cute guys sing, dance, and make jokes. I swear some of those Backstreet and N*Sync songs sound suspiciously like the Guys music numbers. Maybe the Guys are just hiding out waiting for the perfect moment for a reunion TV movie and tour! Or maybe not.

I thought I was the only one

I remember this show pretty well. I thought I was the only person who remembered this show. This show came on when Saturday morning TV consisted of good shows like Saved by the Bell and California Dreams. Somewhere in the back of my closet I have a couple of episodes on video tape. It was basically a normal boy band that lived in a apartment. The hung out and in between them doing very corny jokes, they had skits that were pretty corny also. Back in 1990 I use to love the show. Sometimes I find those video tapes just to watch them for old times. I hate to admit it, but if it came out on DVD, I would most likely buy it.
