Ancient Chinese idiom comes to live
zzmale18 March 2004
This animation is based on the famous Chinese idiom, which loosely translates into "Stork and shellfish fights". Actually, this is only the first half of the ancient idiom, because there is a second half: Yu Ren De Li, (Fisherman benefits), that often are used together with the first half. When the two halves are used together, the literal meaning of the combination loosely translated into: The fights between the stork and the shellfish benefits the fisher man.

This idiom is used to warn people not to fight each other because the third party will be taking advantage of the two involved in the fighting. It is better to know this ancient Chinese idiom before viewing the animation for a better understanding.
