This film did not make general release in the states because it was originally produced by Simon Tse of Stik International from Japan for Japan. Made in the first few months of 1984 around LA and on the Paramount back lot the film was a spoof loosely based on Chariots of Fire, using an Olympic runner to interlace humorous stock footage of sporting bloomers. Doug Yellin was commissioned to both write and direct the film with a limited budget and consequently a fairly small crew. However if the proof is in the pudding (so to speak) when shown in Tokyo it grossed US$274,310 in its first week on 6 screens (May 22'84 Hollywood Reporter).
