Thanks to the "Is this a Pigeon?" meme that arose to fame this year from episode 3, I really was glad to have finally watched Fighbird! I liked that it has a pretty neat story about a Android that was created by a professor and has his grandchildren helping Katori out. The doctor Kunieda honestly should've hooked up with Katori, like they would've been the hottest anime couple of the 1990s if the writers gave them a chance!
For a 1990s show, it was seriously not a bad style compared to some 90s anime I've come across. I thought the art was pretty neat. I really liked the Transformers style of the whole series and its pumped music. I was really surprised that this anime wasn't being dubbed at all til this day. I suppose since it is a Japanese show after all, of course they don't want to ruin its unique originality! Can't say I blame them!
The last battle was so effing intense man! I really thought the andriods did die from all that blasting of all shots of guns and I was almost bawling lol! Thank god they didn't but then I honestly didn't want Katori and the rest of the other androids to go back to their planet!
Although i didnt watch the whole 48 episodes but the series was quite incredible, especially adding likeable characters, great 90s music, very moving story and badass fights! 8/10 it deserves ^.^
