Awful Sarno porn for students of gynecology
As its title proudly proclaims, THE PINK CLAM is focused on a woman's primary sexual characteristics, seen in glaring tight closeup. Hiding behind his pseudonym "Francis Healy", Joe Sarno delivers the usual low-quality video porn.
He's used this identical slim plot line a dozen times or more: cousin Antonia (Annette Heinz) is coming to Brooklyn from Ohio to visit Siobhan Hunter, creating mix and match sexual issues with Hunter's roommate Paula (Nina Preta, misspelled as Reta). (In Sarno's A TIGHT DELIGHT, it is Michael Knight who's the interloper visiting NYC from Cleveland, Ohio, my home town.) Knight co-stars as Mr. Leeds, a boy friend who's ultimately shared among the gals. To his credit, Knight delivers three money shots in succession.
The late Bill Landis, editor of the fanzine Sleazoid Express, is cast as a bewildered grocery delivery boy, instantly seduced by much taller Heinz. Alan Adrian is another nerdy guy passed around by the horny femmes.
With the same tired rock music soundtrack as the other Sarno videos, this overlong filler includes a share of lesbian action for the fans. When Preta returns home to catch Heinz humping Landis, she complains "It's sinful" but seconds later has been instantly seduced by the 57 Varieties lady.
Sarno emphasizes the usual fetish of black stockings, garter belt and high heels during sex here, but slipshod production also contains the telltale "dirty feet" component. All the sex scenes take place on the same lousy bed set, with a portrait of Chairman Mao hanging on the wall. To break up the claustrophobic atmosphere, there are occasional inter-cuts of Heinz or Preta walking down a residential Brooklyn street -looks like Carroll Gardens.
Finale pokes fun at the strictly fictional town of Kittredge Park, Ohio. Low point of the film occurs when Adrian and Heinz improvise their dialog awkwardly, but not to worry, cue the horrible rock music to loudly drown them out.
