Plot: Private Isidore Cochu is captain Reverchon's new orderly ; but in his superior's house, it's his sister Hortense who rules everybody with a rod of iron; soon, the miserable orderly becomes her punching-bag.But discovering he's to inherit his forgotten late uncle's 3 million, she pretends she has a change of heart and woos him .But she is almost engaged to the major who views this betrayal unfavorably.
This is a return to the thirties coarse comedies, with a screenplay which recalls such farces as "Ignace" .The beginning of the movie depicts a town in the fifties ,which has absolutely nothing to offer : but in the past ,there were barracks , dashing cavalrymen, and women with a wasp waist.Those were the days.So , back in time and on the show!This is close to vaudeville ,with mistakes and misunderstandings .Rellys,Jean Tissier and Pauline Carton make the thing palatable ,if you do not ask too much.
