  • Bloody aftermaths of accidents; a man threatens to kill himself numerous times throughout the film, a very bloody (but brief, no nudity) child birth, a crime scene in which a few dead bodies are shown with blood, a man hangs over a balcony impaled through the side of his abdomen; he is still alive, a character is viciously beaten with a baseball bat, we see him bloodied and convulsing a few times; it is implied that he'll live though. A few violent acts throughout.

Profanity

  • 23 uses of the F word and moderate to strong sexual references scattered throughout.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Talks of overdosing. Drug use is a central theme of the movie.
  • People are seen smoking cigarettes throughout the film. Paramedics are seen drinking alcohol while driving the ambulances. Alcoholic tendencies; a man in a nightclub overdoses on a drug; drugs/needles are administered to patients. A man is given a pill and he begins to hallucinate.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A woman gives birth to twins. One is born without a heartbeat.
  • A rather eerie atmosphere throughout; a man sees/hallucinates ghosts, disorienting behavior from some characters.
