Fascinating French mystery
searchanddestroy-11 April 2017
If you are a GJ Arnaud's novels lover, you won't be disappointed by this faithful movie, faithful to the GJ Arnaud's books. It is question here of a woman, single and living alone in a cabin among the mountains, in a snowy country side, a recluse woman - as often in Arnaud's stories - and a woman who lost his child, who died. And she suddenly meets a small boy, who reminds her the lost child. It is a good character study in this offbeat and underrated film which, I am sure, not many people know. Sergio Gobbi gave here one of his best jobs, at least if you compare with his other features far better known and shown. OK, this movie looks like a TV feature. It was remade in 2009 in a film called SOMMEIL BLANC. A very similar scheme, very close to this one.
