Bizarre, Bizarre, dark and violently clever

Le Son is a short journey into madness. Experimental, yet very pleasant in the watching. This short film is like a dance between music and images. The acting by F. Taddei is coldly efficient. The movie is like Looney tunes meeting the Twilight Zone. Brilliant!

The movie opens and ends with Tchailkovski's music. The only moment in the movie that the music stops is when the main character, on the verge of madness, decides to destroy the film's soundtrack. The premise is simple, a man wakes up a morning and is struck by madness that comes as a redundant sound. The main character seeks for the origin of that sound and ultimately destroy everything around him, elements of his confort and routine. Finally he shoots himself in the ear in front of a TV set. I've seen this film in a Movie Festival, and let me tell you, I was in chills when we ultimately hear the sound in the graveyard where the main character is buried.
