Covers the Gamut Of Vapidity.
rsoonsa30 May 2005
It is difficult to understand the objective of this film's creators, as it is a weakly episodic and virtually formless scramble that includes, among its tendrils, activities of three youths whose interests revolve in the main about young women and a form of moronic dancing; a travel agent and her potentially incipient romance with a swain of patently limited intelligence; an old man's trouble-producing fondness for gambling; various inane squabbles among opposing cadres of teenagers. All of these characters are Chinese immigrants residing in Los Angeles, where this drivel is filmed within a large area ranging from the city's downtown Chinatown district to the harbor's Ports Of Call. The tasteless piece is available only in a DVD version that thankfully provides no extra features. Dialogue is in Mandarin and English with both languages victimized by dreadfully inferior synching, dubbing and subtitling.
