"METROPOLITAIN" is the French subway;generally ,they call it "Métro" Actually ,only two sequences take place in the trains ,but these are the most successful and the only good idea in the movie:full circle,in every sense of the term.
Now for the rest:very poorly written,although featuring the dynamic Albert Préjean and the bitch of the era ,Ginette Leclerc,the bad girl specialist ;but their characters plus the not very gifted conjurer makes the audience think of Marcel Carne' s masterpiece "Le Jour Se Lève " ,which was released the very same year; but "Metropolitain" doesn't bear comparison
