This is the night. Every pancake breakfast, every flattering New York Times profile (of Tom James), every blow-up with a staffer, every ill-advised international voyage, has all been building to this: Election night. “History is calling,” says Tom James. “And it won’t go to voicemail.”Selina’s pacing around in a (fantastic) lace dress. The gang is gathered in a hotel room—not the usual frenetic scene we’ve come to except from TV depictions of election watch parties—checking phones and seeming about as in the dark as the average person watching the returns at home would be. I will allow the wonkier types among you to look at which candidate scored which states to discern if we know what political party Selina calls her own. It’s one of those topsy-turvy nights, where those who seemed untouchable are finding themselves at the bottom of the heap—Bill Erickson,...

Wednesday (April 15) night's "American Idol" theme is American Classics and America played some role in choosing the eligible songs and at some point, somehow, we'll find out who America put in the Bottom 2 and then America will get to go on Twitter and choose who we/they want to save. That's a lot of responsibility on you tonight, America. Good thing I only have to recap! Click through and follow along. 7:59 p.m. Et. Note to self: Clark Beckham is a person on "American Idol." Try to remember. 8:00 p.m. "Tonight we celebrate the songs you picked as American Classics," Ryan Seacrest says, underlining the confusion. And is Ryan already holding the results? Does that mean we've abandoned the envelope-presenters? That wasn't a good gimmick. But it wasn't a bad gimmick either... 8:01 p.m. Jennifer Lopez Fashion Show time! Yeah, there's no way she's touching anybody in the crowd tonight.

We know you’ve been staring at your calendar for months now. But don’t fret, because it’s finally here. Pop culture’s most defining evening — which awards only the finest in entertainment — is finally upon us. We’re not talking about the Oscars, Grammys or Emmys, but rather something much more important and career-changing: The People’s Choice Awards.
The 41st PCAs air tonight at 9 Pm Et on CBS, and anything can happen. This is the night where pop culture enters The Twilight Zone and suddenly films like Grown Ups (2010) win excellence awards and Katy Perry is music’s biggest prodigy. It’s just a tad bit head-scratching, but we wouldn’t have the PCAs be any other way. Hey, Adam Sandler deserves his day in the sun too, right?
Here are 10 things that will probably only happen at the PCAs. Check ‘em out, and let us know...

On this week’s The Vampire Diaries, we start by going back into time to the specific date of May 9, 1994. This is the night that Kai went on a killing spree involving four members of his family. In the short flashback, we see Kai trying to kill a young Jo — so it looks like I was right on the two being brother and sister. In fact, they’re twins — and not the only set of twins in the family. As Kai is running after Jo, whom he just stabbed, she is trying to hide the other twins in … Continue reading →

There are times, even in professional wrestling, where everything becomes transcendent, even if for only one night. The annual Raw broadcast following Wrestlemania in recent years has become on of those situations – an experience where things go beyond the weekly pro wrestling norm and evolve into something more. And in New Orleans this week, following Wrestlemania XXX, there was no exception – the Raw broadcast again delivered a transcendent experience.
This is the night reserved for tying up loose ends from the previous evenings Wrestlemania broadcast, and launching the WWE’s new year in grand fashion. We are given closure on storylines, introductions to new characters, and a few surprises along the way. The live crowd is always ready to play ball as well, and it makes for a fantastic, memorable experience each time this night arrives, especially in the more recent years.
And 2014 was no exception. The Raw...

WWE’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view is coming up on Sunday January 26 and it is really shaping up to be a must see event. Brock Lesnar is booked to face The Big Show in a monster mash of epic proportions. WWE world champion Randy Orton is set to defend his title against John Cena in a rematch that adds another chapter in their storied rivalry.
But the biggest draw to this pay-per-view is the Royal Rumble itself. 30 of the company’s best and brightest, all in one ring competing for the opportunity to face the unified champion at WrestleMania in April. This is the night when anything can happen, when past Superstars can making shocking returns and completely change the landscape of the match.
One such return has already been announced, as Batista is coming back to WWE. He is scheduled to appear...

Chicago – “Halloween” is no mere horror movie. It is arguably the best of its genre, a film that continues to influence the form 35 years after its release. The excellent new transfer of the film on the latest Anchor Bay HD iteration is reason alone to pick it up, and the new active participation in the release on behalf of Jamie Lee Curtis, a star often silent regarding the films that made her a star, is just an amazing bonus.
Rating: 5.0/5.0
It’s been an unusual year for horror fans in the way that Curtis, who spent decades barely recognizing her ’70s and ’80s scream queen status, appeared to embrace it again this year. She popped up on Scream Factory’s excellent release of “The Fog,” and hilariously pointed out why she didn’t like the movie, and is a more prominent part of this release than any “Halloween” edition in history.

Are you ready for the next elimination on "Big Brother 15"? It's only Week 2, but we have a good feeling about the drama and fireworks that we'll see Thursday night.
This would be an excellent time to sign up for the live feeds, because after the live show is over, we expect some major drama in the house. But either way, it's time to find out who is going home between Elissa, Helen and Nick.
Join us here at 9 p.m. Et for a live blog of all the fun. All times Eastern.
9:00 -- We lament that we are not live-blogging "Sharknado," but hopefully the GinaMarienado will be just as good.
9:05 -- Julie is rocking the 1970s turquoise jumpsuit that we totally covet. We want it in pink and denim, please.
9:07 -- Jeremy is so smug about his place of power in the house. We suspect he is in for a rude awakening,...

With voting for the Season 4 winner of "The Voice" closed, there was little for finalists Danielle Bradbery, Michelle Chamuel and The Swon Brothers to do during Tuesday night's (June 18) live finale but enjoy themselves, have fun and try not to let their nerves get the best of them. And enjoy themselves they did, taking the stage with major acts like Bob Seger, One Republic and Hunter Hayes (which we'll get to later). But the night had one main purpose: To reveal a champion.
So who won? With seven minutes left in the two-hour broadcast, host Carson Daly brought the three finalists on stage to begin the end. After asking for final thoughts from each, it was time to get down to business. Taking third place, its the brother duo from Oklahoma. As the Swons left the stage, Danielle and Michelle gathered close to await their fate. And then the announcement...

No need to adjust your screen; this is not, we repeat, not the "Jersey Shore" ... although we totally get it why someone might be confused for a sec. There is a very "Gtl"-esque vibe going down when the titular guido character in Joseph Gordon-Levitt's "Don Jon" repeatedly declares, "there's only a few things I really care about in life: my body, my pad, my ride, my family, my church, my boys, my girls and my porn." Well, alright then.
Gordon-Levitt, in his writer-directorial debut, stars as a twenty-something New Jersey bachelor who's got a very skewed view of romance thanks to his frequency of adult website visits. He somehow meets the girl of his naughty dreams in Scarlett Johansson's gum-smacking Barbara, but she's got the opposite problem of him — she's been conditioned to think of relationships as all kissing in the rain and slurping up a shared...

This is the night NBC has been waiting for all year. A rough 2013 it has been, for sure, with prime time in freefall and even institutions like the Today and Tonight shows embattled by negative PR. You might begin to think Do No Harm isn't just a bad memory, but a motto the Peacock network somehow just can't seem to live up to.
If the tide is ever to start turning, it will be on Mondays, with the return of the game-changing The Voice (8/7c) and its irresistible, instantly iconic "Blind Audition" episodes. New to the hot seats: Shakira and Usher, filling in this cycle for Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera, with NBC hoping it doesn't matter who's sitting in those revolving chairs. The show's the thing, and this has always been the best part of The Voice.
