The lottery or ,the adventures of Titin Des Martigues.
dbdumonteil5 October 2016
After "Un De La Canebière " ,Henri Alibert (singer/operetta writer) and director René Pujol team up again for another musical (though there are relatively few songs in this comedy),with songs written by the star's father-in-law Vincent Scotto.

To sum up the screenplay is a very hard task when you deal with Pujol's movies:there are more a succession of desultory sketches than a well-constructed story.

On the fairground ,Titin and Dix-De-Der vie with each other for the boss's daughter ;the former is at the lottery ,but his rival ruins his stall;besides this less-than-handsome villain reminds his boss that he owes him a lot of dough and that an union could settle things

With his three pals (one of them played by Pierre Larquey),he does casual work,he unsuccessfully takes part in a talent contest (the audience used to boo off the stage the contenders they did not like),becomes a "Taxi-Boy" (escort boy) for two American ladies ,and I could on...

Paulette in one her rare part of a romantic young female lead and a night club act featuring topless artists.
