- Lakis and Vaso are in love and intend to get married. Vaso's brother, however, protests because he would prefer Giagkos as his brother-in-law, a poor, honest, hard-working man who is in love with Vaso. Lakis leaves for Canada, and Vaso marries Giagkos, who gets involved with criminals and ends up in jail. While Giagkos is in jail, Lakis returns from Canada, looks for Vaso and persuades her to leave her home and child and go with him. Giagkos is released from jail, learns the news but is not daunted. He searches for his loved one, finds her, and they reunite for good.—Greek Film Archive
- Secretly in love with handsome Lakis, young Vaso can't stop dreaming about walking down the aisle with the love of her life, unaware that her brother, Menelaos, opposes this marriage, as the honest but impecunious worker, Yagos, is much more to his liking. However, after a momentary lapse of judgment, Yagos--who has already married Vaso--will find himself behind bars, while, in the meantime, Lakis reluctantly leaves Greece to work in Canada. When a freshly released from jail Yagos discovers that Vaso has eloped with Lakis, abandoning both him and their little daughter, a desperate search for the missing mother commences. Will pained Yagos and their equally traumatised child reunite with Vaso?—Nick Riganas
