Entertaining 80's porn crime opus
Woodyanders25 November 2016
Warning: Spoilers
No-nonsense Lt. Harry Parker (a solid and sincere performance by Harry Reems) investigates a drug smuggling operation run by the ruthless Lily Chang (played with lip-smacking wicked relish by the sultry and exotic Kristara Barrington). Tough veteran cop Charlie Wells (hunky Herschel Savage) and his eager rookie partner Mandy Walker (the insanely foxy Ginger Lynn) stake out Chang's place. However, Parker vows to bust Chang and shut down her nefarious business after his old Vietnam war buddy Mike Shaw (the always reliable Paul Thomas) gets killed in the line of duty while trying to get the goods on Chang.

Director Scott Shaw keeps the enjoyable and intricate story moving at a steady pace, maintains a commendable serious tone throughout, and makes nice use of both cliché cornball Oriental music and practical big city locations. Will Kelly's clever script provides a few nifty plot twists. Moreover, the sex scenes are quite arousing and energetic, with a sensual set piece in the back of a van between Lynn and Savage rating as a definite tender and erotic highlight. This film further benefits from a sturdy cast of 80's porn pros: Susan Hart as enticing snitch Susan, Cara Loft as pathetic junkie stewardess Sandy Morgan, Eric Edwards as hard-nosed customs agent Roy Harmon, Colleen Brennan as Shaw's distraught widow Nancy, and Paul Barresi as antsy hood Sid Rosen. (Peter North also appears in a small role as a participant in an orgy at a party.) Howard Wexler's bright cinematography gives this movie a pleasing sunny look. A fun flick.
