Winging it.
st-shot10 November 2010
Nineteenth century stage dancer Annabelle Moore must have wowed audiences of the day with this under a minute take of of her flowing and graceful Butterfly dance. Moore draped in exotic fabric, twirls before the moving camera unraveling before its audience as well the liberating art form's energy and possibilities.

Movement is beauty claims French filmmaker Robert Bresson and this is one of the earliest and best examples of what moving pictures would be capable of in the future; stunning and breathtaking conceits of light, shadow and grace celebrated beyond the moribund still life. The world of manufactured dreams.
