For a long time it was mistaken that Umberto Lenzi was the director of The Bronx Executioner (1989) and not Vanio Amici due to Amici using the same pseudonym: "Bob Collins".
Over half of the film is comprised of stock footage from Romolo Guerrieri's The Final Executioner (1984), including all of Woody Strode's scenes (his character's name is changed from "Sam" to "Warren"). A double is used in new scenes with Gabriele Gori. Margie Newton is the only cast member of the 1982 picture to appear in the new footage, and her hairstyle changes at least three times during the film.
Margie Newton was not paid for the scenes she did for The Bronx Executioner (1989) because of the footage the producers used from her scenes in The Final Executioner (1984)
