Synopsis for
Unbreakable (2000)

Two men in search of their own identities meet in an unlikely fashion. One man, a man who has been never sick or injured one day in his life; the other whose degenerative condition has left him a virtual cripple are at polar opposites in life, yet at the same crossroads of middle age.

David Dunn, a man whose life is coming apart, begins to think that perhaps his own hidden abilities will give his life purpose and focus. After he becomes the lone survivor of a train wreck, a stranger, Elijah Price, nicknamed Mr. Glass because of his condition, approaches David and forces him to come to terms with his powers including hidden strength and uncanny insight.

David realizes that he is a superhero with a purpose in life, that of protecting and rescuing the innocent. In a the film's plot twist, David realizes that his nemesis is in fact his mentor, Mr. Glass. Mr. Glass, seeking out his intellectual and polar opposite equal in life, has deliberately created a series of disasters in order to find the super hero to his super nemesis.
