Drama of the poetical, retrospective sort. Francis Bushman plays the dual role of John Mason of to-day and of years ago, and to him in great measure is due the success of the picture. It was not easy to put over. It is a story that will please adults, thoughtful ones, especially. Splendid aid is given in the making of the picture by Ruth Hennessy, who as the flower girl and later the adopted daughter is charming. Ruth Stonehouse also is good. - The Moving Picture World, April 5, 1913
