The story of this two-part picture is decidedly unpleasant and there is a too thinly veiled suggestion of brutality in the climax. A man who has, ao the picture says, been ill-treated by a light flirtatious woman, invites her out into a lonely place and then lets her go because he did not want to hurt her good name. There is an appeal in this to numbers, but not to the best. - The Moving Picture World, August 1, 1914
