1838. British Prime Minister Lord Melbourne has dispatched Lord Durham to Quebec City as Canada's new Governor General to deal with the rebellion that occurred in the two Canadas, several people who have been imprisoned a result. Melbourne has given Durham total authority to deal with the matter as he sees fit. What Durham decides to do gains much support in both Upper and Lower Canada. However, Durham has to decide what to do when things on the home front in Britain are not exactly as he was initially made to believe, which, in addition to facing serious health problems a result of the stress of dealing with the rebellion aftermath, makes him reconsider his and Lady Durham's new life in Canada.
