Masahide Kuwabara's "Toriko" is a perfect example of pinku eiga sickie.The basis of the story is that there is a dangerous lunatic going around breaking into the apartments of various women and brutally raping and killing them while wearing a black outfit and black bondage mask.One night he breaks into the apartment of a care worker and rapes her.He doesn't kill her though as he finds that he falls in love with her.So instead,he returns on different nights and rapes her time and time again...pretty rough life for her considering she was gang-raped when she was a schoolgirl(shown in flashbacks).She falls in love with the detective investigating the case,but the rapist is still on the loose."Toriko" is a typical Japanese rape film in the tradition of Tokyo's hugely popular,politically incorrect "Rapeman" series.There is plenty of sleazy exploitation and depraved violence to satisfy fans of Japanese pinku eiga movies.The film doesn't have any subtitles and is extremely tough to find,but if you're a fan of Japanese exploitation give it a look.Recommended.

Another Trashy Rape Film From Japan - Damn I Love That Country...

TORIKO: EYES OF A RAPIST is yet another in a long line of rape-themed film that comes from the island-nation - let me just say Thank God for Japan and it's pinku film scene. The sheer ballsy Un-PCness of their film-making is a refreshing change from the typical mainstream crap that I see from over here in the States. This film is another that has no English subs/dubs - so any errors in what I gathered from the plot are purely due to lack of translation...
A serial rapist/murderer is on the loose and the cops can't seem to nab him. With his latest victim he changes up his M.O. slightly, as he seems to fall for her after their "encounter", and decides not to kill her. Unfortunately for the woman involved (who had been gang-raped previously), the rapist takes a "liking" to her and comes back to rape her repeatedly, causing much distress and eventually confusion for the young lady - all the while the cops are unable to stop the lunatic...
In the tradition of the pinky films that came before - TORIKO is a misogynistic, violent, rape-themed film that most won't find any entertainment value in - but for those of us that dig this sort of thing, it's gold. A bit predictable as to the identity of the masked rapist, but otherwise the story moves along like a sleazy mystery film. The rape material is rough and violent, and lacks the eroticism and romanticism that many of the older pinky films portrayed (at least until towards the end of the film). The storyline is decent enough (from what I could gather) and even includes a side-story of our young victim and her boss who seduces her into a lesbionic rendezvous. Fun stuff all around, fans of the "rougher" Nikkatsu style material will probably dig this one...8/10
