Many people over the years have believed that the Berenstains' last name ends with "stein" but all along it was actually "stain". This ties in with the Mandella Effect.
Many people remember the show with the name "The Berenstein Bears"(with an e in stein) but as many have found out, this is not the case.
One reason this film was developed might have been the viral frenzy called the Mandela Effect, in which some people recall events or culture that never happened. At the time, people claimed the original spelling of the name was "Berenstein" instead of Berenstain, which attracted tens of millions of curious members.
The show is based on the books written and illustrated by Stan and Jan Berenstain.
This series was more popular than DiC's adaptation of the books from 1985.
