Well, to be fair, this movie has a running time of only 90 minutes, so you won't be bored too long. But why even watch the whole film, when the best shot is shown after 15min (I'm talking about the breathtaking ship sequence,...well...kinda breathtaking. If it's your first film and you've never seen pictures move.), the rest of the film you see two men in a room "in Washington DC " (you never see any parts of the city, so it could be anywhere, but the package says that everything is "filmed on location"...) exchanging cheesy dialogue.

After reading the book (L'or) several years ago, I had some expectations. But mostly it's just an awful boring conversation between the old General Sutter and a painter about the General's life. It doesn't even come close to show the real tragedy that happened and Sutter's character remains unknown. Nothing more to comment because there simply ISN'T more.. Two thumbs down.
