Sex & Nudity

  • Rarely shows buttocks or side-boobs but only from a distance and very briefly, not in a sexual way.
  • Some reenactments take place inside strip clubs where women in bra and thongs are seen dancing sensually. About 25% of episodes contain strip clubs. Some close-up shots of some buttocks in thongs in certain episodes.
  • Occasional reenactments of rape and sexual assault. However, nudity is limited to naked backsides of men and women - but mostly women. Genitals are blurred.

Violence & Gore

  • In many episodes, real crime scene images and videos are shown. Dead bodies are seen repeatedly, in various stages of decomposition, and occasionally are censored. In some cases, the bodies may have been mutilated.
  • There are violent images dramatically reenacted of real life crimes.

Profanity

  • Occasional "son of a bitch" or "bastard". Other words like fuck are blurred.
  • The word "bullshit" is written in a journal seen in one episode.
  • Brief coarse language occasionally occurs.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Frequently discussed alcoholism and drug use but in a negative way, so there's a positive message.
  • Multiple drug references depending on the episode.
  • Occasional reference or reenactments of drug use, smoking and alcohol consumption.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Some reenactments of murders depict graphic violence.
