Cute alien, and lots of rip offs

This is supposedly India's first Sci-fi movie, containing the best special effects ever to come out of India. It's a total ripoff of E.T. It becomes apparent during several scenes, and especially obvious during the last scenes when Rohit and Jadoo (the alien) are escaping the military on a scooter. HAHA! In addition to the E.T. ripoffs, some of the theme music was stolen from the Neverending Story.

This film lasted almost 3 hours. But nevertheless, I actually managed to pay attention the whole time, which is quite rare when I watch Indian movies. The story goes like this: A scientist spends his whole life trying to contact life on other planets, and when he finally achieves it, he gets in an auto accident along with his wife. He dies, but his wife lives, along with their son Rohit who was still inside her. But her son suffers brain damage and grows up mentally challenged. Later in life, he begins experimenting with some of his father's old equipment and ends up contacting alien life.

I won't spoil this for you, so I'll stop here. It really is a decent film. Hrithik Roshan is great in this movie, and I found myself laughing at many parts. The alien is cute too. Of course, if you've seen E.T before, then you've basically already seen this movie, just add singing and dancing and a mentally challenged person, and vuala! You have Koi Mil Gaya.
