Sex & Nudity

  • various sexual references during the movie
  • There are some romantic comments made between characters, some kissing.
  • A character wears a skimpy nightgown.
  • A character makes comments at another character about "washing down there", as well as comments referencing that she knows he secretly masturbates when she isn't looking.
  • A character frequently teases another character about having "mommy issues".
  • A character frequently holds up two Raggedy-Ann dolls, pushing their faces together so that they appear to be kissing.
  • There is no onscreen nudity in this miniseries; the closest instance is a character's bare shoulders being seen.
  • A character mentions that another character had a cowboy fetish. Comments are jokingly made about "chaps in chaps" and "preferring roping or branding".
  • A woman comments that a man should get an AIDS test.

Violence & Gore

  • Rotten corpses are seen. While not particularly graphic, they often have greenish-coloured skin, rotten teeth and warped voices.
  • A man chokes to death on an apple.
  • A man is killed by falling debris.
  • A man has an apparent heart attack and dies; later his friends are distraught when crows land on his body and begin pecking at it.
  • A woman attacks several characters (played mostly for comedy). She is hit in the head and knocked unconscious in order to get her to stop.
  • A woman catches a severe fever; she is depicted lying in bed, being looked after by another woman. She later recovers.
  • An empty dog bed and leash are seen next to a garbage can on the street. A middle-aged couple talk nearby, looking very sad; it is revealed through their words that their pet dog bit a neighbour and that the dog has since been euthanized.
  • Blood is seen in a refrigerator.
  • A woman cuts her finger and than unexpectedly decides to rub blood from it all over her colleague's face, which disgusts him.

Profanity

  • fuzzy language everywhere
  • There are some sexual comments made, nothing particularly explicit, mostly innuendo including "down there", "between the sheets" and "mommy issues".
  • Some verbal comments are made by a man regarding an autistic girl, including usages of "retarded", "wiping your kid sister's ass" and "moron".

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • some people smoke or drink during the movie
  • Characters sit in a wine cellar and in a local bar, making comments about the alcohol they are drinking.
  • A man comments that he wants a "morphine milkshake".

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The movie contains scary scenes like people getting stuck in mazes, moving furniture and etc.
  • The death of several main characters is heavily suggested and at some points shown onscreen. The last death is disturbing bc several ghosts come out of the wall, angry at a character and the character becomes terrified and distraught.
  • The bullying and name-calling towards a mentally disabled character may bother and offend some viewers.
  • A character telekinetically causes rocks and sheets of ice to fall from the sky and pop up out of the ground, destroying a neighbour's house. The characters are visibly upset by this, and the scene may disturb some viewers.

Violence & Gore

  • A man bullies an autistic child verbally, and then suggests that his friends murder her so that they can escape her latent supernatural powers (the girl isn't killed at any point, and the rude man later befriends her).
