Sex & Nudity

  • Some scantily clad women, a bare breasted woman and a graphic nude poster, is the extent of sex and nudity in this movie.
  • Margot's nipples are somewhat visible through her top for about two minutes in one scene. In a later scene, the outline of her erect nipples are visible through her shirt for about five seconds.
  • A woman is seen in a bikini while making out in a few scenes.
  • Margot is seen in her bra. Then a woman walks on screen topless wearing only panties. Her breasts and nipples are seen. Margot then squeezes one of the woman's breasts and they make out. The scene lasts about ten seconds.
  • A large black and white poster of a nude woman is seen for about 4 or 5 seconds. Breasts and nipples are seen, as well as the woman's genital area, although her thick pubic hair covers most of the detail.
  • Margot is seen naked in the bathtub. Only her shoulders and the top of her chest are seen. No nudity.
  • A five second scene shows a man aggressively groping and squeezing Margot's breasts.
  • There is no male nudity whatsoever.
  • A large black & white poster with full frontal female nudity is seen.
  • A married woman is shown making out with various men.

Violence & Gore

  • A woman accidentally gets her ring finger cut off by a lumberjack. It isn't shown on screen, but can be disturbing to watch.
  • A graphic suicide attempt is shown. An adolescent walks in, horrified to discover the attempt in progress. Splattered blood is seen on his shirt.
  • A man stabs another man and he screams in pain, but there is no blood.
  • A man crashes his car.

Profanity

  • There are religious exhortations, and other cursing. 3 uses of fuck, 4 uses of hell, 6 uses of ass, 3 used as asshole, 13 uses of damn, some used as goddamn, 1 use of son of a bitch

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Lots of cigarette smoking
  • Some drug references. Eli is seen with a joint in his mouth, and there is various paraphenelia around his apartment, although it is never focused on. A car accident is caused by a man who was apparently on acid or another mind-altering substance. A woman is shown to have been smoking cigarettes from age 12.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • This film is very heavy at points
  • A graphic suicide attempt is shown. An adolescent walks in, horrified to discover the attempt in progress.

  • A man attempts suicide by cutting his wrists. The actual cutting is not shown, but the aftermath is extremely bloody and disturbing.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A man cuts his wrists off-screen in a suicide attempt. Blood is seen on the environment and several graphic scars are seen once he is released from hospital.
  • A dog is hit and killed by a car off-screen.
  • Royal dies at the end. The funeral may be a little intense for some viewers.
