John Waters, the cult director, featured Herschell Gordon Lewis in his book. In the interview he talked about the original "Blood Feast," and asked Lewis if he planned on making anymore movies. Lewis said he would like to, and when he eventually made "Blood Feast II," he included John Waters as a paedophile priest.
After ripping out a girl's tongue, Fuad says, "Speak the speech, I pray you, as I pronounced it to you, trippingly on the tongue". This is a line from Hamlet (Act II scene II).
Detective Loomis eats in every scene, and the food he eats is always something different which includes: potato chips, cake, pie, chocolate, pretzels, hard candy, hamburgers, pasta, steak, etc.
The body that's lying at several of the crime scenes is Tiffani's father who accidentally dies when he tries to kill Mrs. Lampley, and she knocks into him.
Fuad's last name is Ramses a reference to the Egyptian pharaoh, Ramses II, or Ramses the great. Interestingly in the movie we hear of Fuad Ramses, and Fuad Ramses III, but we never hear Fuad Ramses II.
