Sex & Nudity

  • The main character "Mowgli" is seen shirtless throughout the show.
  • All the animals are shown without clothes.

Violence & Gore

  • some fighting amongst animals in some episodes, usually in self defense, but sometimes out of disagreements or establishing hierarchy. some death occasionally results. there is sometimes blood.
  • also there are also a few rare human/animal confrontations.
  • Mowgli is attacked by a jackal in one episode.
  • Mowgli and other wolves sometimes hunt deer, rabbits, cows and other prey in some episodes.
  • in one episode it is implied that humans are killing animals, this greatly upsets Mowgli.
  • Mowgli's wolf father Alexander fights against Shere Khan in an early episode. it is implied that he was defeated in the fight.
  • in one episode Mowgli attacks Bagheera because he feels rejected by the animals and thinks that being human makes him evil, but the fight does not last long because Mowgli's mother Luri breaks it up and forces Mowgli to apologize. Bagheera is shown with minor scratches and bite marks.
  • Shere Khan fights against Mowgli in one episode, Mowgli slashes Shere Khan's eye, blinding him in that eye.
  • the second and final fight with Shere Khan is more intense, Mowgli fights him with a burning stick, burning him a few times. Shere Khan tries to climb up a cliff, but he falls back down. Mowgli then finishes Shere Khan by jumping into the air and stabbing his chest with a knife.
  • in later episodes we then see Shere Khan's gutted hide.
  • Mowgli occasionally falls out of trees or runs into things.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • in the beginning episode Mowgli's human parents fall off a cliff into a creek below when they are panicked by the appearance of Bagheera.
  • "The Law" of the jungle which might involve things like hunting and killing for food might be difficult for children to understand and can be upsetting at times.
  • in the later episodes when Mowgli learns his true identity, he is very disturbed and upset by this and the ways of some humans, but he still finds other human friends.
  • on another note worth mentioning is that even though Mowgli's wolf mother Luri adopts him as a baby and loves him as one of her own, in a later episode she banishes both her sons "Mowgli's brothers" from her lair. she is very intimidating and threatening when she does this. in a later episode she also banishes Mowgli from her lair, again she is very threatening and demanding towards Mowgli, telling him to leave her or else, but it is mentioned that she did this for a good reason and that it she still loves Mowgli. children might still be frightened and/or not understand this however.
  • Mowgli sometimes ends up in serious trouble, in one episode he gets his foot stuck in a bear trap and he is stuck like this until the following episode. in another episode he falls into a pit until he is rescued by another human.
  • Mowgli is sometimes confronted and/or attacked by other animals, some can be quite intimidating.
  • children might be upset by certain topics like the life and death of family members or friends.
  • Shere Khan is constantly searching for and stalking Mowgli. in two episodes there is a fight between Shere Khan and Mowgli and the final battle can be especially intense especially for younger children.
