- A soldier is seen masturbating over a black and white photo of a nude woman.

- The film is set during The Great War and violence plays a key part. A battle scene is shown in which soldiers shoot and stab each other with rifles and bayonets.
- Large amounts of dead bodies are shown, often tangled up in barbed wire. A man is consumed in barbed wire, killing him.
- Quinn shoots two germans with his handgun.
- Hawkstone discovers a person that has wielded himself in the mud, the person is armed with a bayonet. Hawkstone shoots the bayonet off, they fight until Quinn shoots the attacking german.
- Some of the sequences are very intense, when violence between characters occurs
