This "Démoniaques" adaptation of Boileau and Narcejac book is far from their book as it happens in a luxurious villa in front of a lake in Switzerland, as in the book, it happens in french middle class places. That proves that poor places are not interesting in movie business, it is better to show luxury. But the result isn't that rich, it's even very poor in the narration treatment : example : there's a fight on a huge speedboat, and instead of shooting this fight around the two characters, it is shot from far away, with a postcard view of the speedboat on the lake in the sun light, the two characters being vaguely seen. Casting is also far from being charismatic, except of course Aurore Clément. Music by Serge Franklin tries to support the lack of tension, but it isn't enough to save the movie (I prefer to listen to Serge Franklin sitar pop masterpiece "Exister", on a 45 record with a sleeve à la Syd Barrett).
