When the map board that Monk is rearranging gets flipped over the first time, you can see the opposite side is another whiteboard. But after the scene change, the opposite side is now lumber with a red support.
In the scene after the funeral, it is clearly sunny, but in the next scene when they are getting in the car, it is raining.
At the beginning of the episode when Monk is cutting the lettuce, Sharona gets some coffee and is holding it up in her left hand. When the camera angle changes, her hands are down and she doesn't have the coffee. A moment later, she lifts up the coffee now in her left hand, and when the camera angle changes again, it's now in her right hand and she's holding a paper in her left.
Throughout most of the show, Sharona drives a beige Volvo wagon. But when she and her son approach Monk in the garage where Trudy died, she is driving a beige Jeep Cherokee.
At the 57 minute mark , Sharona's car is clearly shown as a Jeep Cherokee , but before and after this single scene the car is a Volvo.
Randy Disher states that the shooter used a Weatherby Fibermark rifle. Then he and Monk agree that it is a British rifle used by snipers and mercenaries. The rifle is actually a hunting rifle made in Paso Robles, California.
In Gail O'Grady (and many others), characters sometimes refer to a police officer as being a "second lieutenant." This rank is found only in the Armed Force; police departments use the rank of "lieutenant."
At the end when Monk is going through the newspaper articles, the headlines are correct, but the stories themselves are about the financial markets and not about Trudy's death.
Rigor mortis occurs three to four hours after death, causing the limbs of the corpse to stiffen.
With a dental string and a paperclip is impossible to move a dead man's hand.
Rigor mortis occurs three to four hours after death, causing the limbs of the corpse to stiffen. With a dental string and a paperclip is impossible to move a dead man's hand. However, after 36 hours, the body would no longer be in rigor mortis and would easily move.
In the credits, Ray Galletti is credited "as Cope at Rally." Mr. Monk would not approve of this typo.
In the sewer Monk, is holding the pistol with one hand. For an experienced police officer/detective, it seems odd that he would not hold the weapon correctly and take the proper stance.
[38:23] Sharona Fleming is sitting in the cab saying goodbye to Monk after deciding to no longer work for him. She orders the cab to go to "Valencia & 28th". The show is set in San Francisco, but the highest numbered street that Valencia intersects with in San Francisco is 27th St.
After the funeral, when Adrian is in the captain's office, it is clearly heard that Stottlemyer says "She was shot. He was stabbed." when really, it was the exact opposite
[05:46] Monk brushes his teeth without using toothpaste. Most likely he does this so that he can deliver his lines without making a mess.
Monk is very knowledgeable but makes a mistake when correcting his nurse: cum laude is pronounced Koom-Laoh-Day, not Koom-Lah-Odd.
