Hibiki and the women pilots have the same dream about a red light that attacks them and the Nirvana. The Nirvana responds to a pod emitting a distress signal, where Hibiki and the others see the same red light they saw in their dream.
When BC and Pyoro attempt to decode the message that a girl the Nirvana rescued was carrying, it affects the ship's systems. Ezra goes into labor during an enemy attack.
The Nirvana's crew mourns Gascogne, who was lost while engaging the Harvester mothership. Hibiki comes up with a plan to attack the mothership using Pyoro and the Earth message virus.
Hibiki volunteers to help Dita and Paiway plan a surprise birthday party for Meia. To keep Meia occupied, they arrange for her to babysit Ezra's baby. An enemy attack, however, threatens to derail their plans.
During a combat mission, Hibiki becomes separated from the others and lands on a planet inhabited by people similar to Native Americans who communicate telepathically.
Both the Tarak and Mejere fleets order the Nirvana's crew to surrender. Duelo learns that Hibiki is a first generation colonist and hides him in the Paexis. The women face a Mejere court, while the men and BC are taken to Tarak.
The first generation leaders of Tarak and Mejere convene, including Magno. Hibiki addresses the leaders, rallying the people of both planets to fight with the Nirvana against the Harvesters.
Hibiki confronts the leader of the Earth mothership. The combined armies of Tarak and Mejere fight their last battle with the Nirvana against the Harvesters.
