- Spring to summer 2000. Gwenaëlle and Angéla are friends. They are seventeen and eighteen years old and live in the same town in the suburbs of Paris. Summer vacation is coming up. They put in a project at the Youth Department of the local town hall. It is selected and funded. They will be able to carry it out. Their project is a trip around France to photograph people's homes. They invite people to pose in front of their houses and take photographs of themselves. When school goes back, an exhibition is organized at the town hall. Full of curiosity and strengthened by their friendship, they encounter people from a range of backgrounds. They broaden their horizons and open up to the possibilities life has to offer. They have many adventures and sometimes their encounters lead them to stay in one place for several days.—Anonymous
- Gwenaëlle and Angéla are friends. They are 17 and 18 years old. They live in the same city, in the Paris region. In each home, a certain precariousness, and each one has its share of family difficulties. Gwenaëlle lives with an irascible mother, her older brother and her younger sisters. Her father is in the hospital... Angéla lives with her parents who often fight, and Dédé, her boyfriend, has just been released from prison... Gwenaëlle poses for a painter in Paris, Angéla sings in a band... Both of them have the chance to have other openings on life than what the family offers them. It is soon the summer vacations. In an active association of their district, they deposit the "{youth project}" they have been working on for a while: it is a trip to France during which they will take pictures of apartment buildings in the countryside. Where they are the least legitimate, where there was really the possibility to build something else. They will invite people to pose in front of their homes... The project is selected. They will be able to leave to visit France by car. Rich of their curiosity, strong of their friendship, they will meet people and will cross various environments. They will awaken, open up and multiply the possibilities of life. Without prejudice and without preconceived ideas, they go towards others in a natural impulse, which will lead them to multiple, heterogeneous and unexpected encounters. They will stop in the mountains and make friends with a group of young people with whom love may be possible.
