Charlie's Angels for German TV
Mikew30015 May 2003
In spring 2003, the TV series "Wilde Engel" (wild angels) started on RTL Television - a series about an all-female secret agent squad on difficult missions with lots of sex, crimes and action.

It's clearly influenced by the American seventies cult series "Charlie's Angels" and the current movie remakes, with a cute Blonde (Eva Habermann), an all-dominating and leading brunette (Susann Upplegger) and a witty and smaller Jacelyn-Smith-like black-haired girlie (Birgit Stauber). They all look cute, the dialogues are funny, and the action scenes with lots of car and helicopter chases, kick boxing and karate action and Mission-Impossible-like secret agent thrills are well-done.

The plots are mainly simple and the acting mostly wooden, but every episode is an hour of nice action entertainment. Especially the stunts are outstanding, as the series is produced by the "Cobra 11" makers, another successful Autobahn action series running for many years now. Take a seat, relax, watch the beautiful trio's sexy legs (always shown in many close-ups) and enjoy the ride!

Action, Fun and beautiful women.

I completely disagree with the negative review. Yes, Charlie's Angels were also 3 women and that's about it. These three women have a completely different background which makes it interesting and funny when they interact. Where as Charlie's Angels were bland and just there to be pretty, the 3 in this series actually do something and all! 3 of them have a brain they use. The stunts are good and the acting is good. There's the policeman's daughter often in conflict with her father (as she does things which aren't always according to the book), the head of a bank (woman at the top, very rich), the car mechanic (woman in a men's world) who has been operating at the other side of the law. Story lines are good enough. Very enjoyable. Have been looking for the film and the complete series on DVD for ages, but, as far as I understand, due to copyrights etc.not released. Worth while watching!
