Regrettably, The Demon's Baby is a Cat IIb flick and not Cat III so it was disappointing on a shock level. Not only that, Anthony Wong (Ebola Syndrome, The Untold Story) ain't in it for too long. Elvis Tsui (Chinese Torture Chamber, Eternal Evil of Asia) is in it and he's annoying as hell.
Elvis Tsui is Master Hsu and somehow his concubines get messed up by some demon spirits that were freed from under a Buddha statue. Also possessed is Little Fish, a house girl who has a thing going on with the cook, Day-Six. All these chicks have demon wombs open up in their tummies and li'l fake-ass looking demon babies pop out (these are way worse looking than Cuato from Total Recall).
There is some cheap but entertaining gore and some fun throwbacks to old school HK horror and hopping ghost flicks throughout the film but basically it could've been better if it was a lot grosser and just plain more interesting. Anthony Wang is not on screen too much and doesn't make much out of his role. I would basically only recommend this to hardcore B-movie enthusiasts and lovers of cheesy foreign horror films. 5.5/10.
