Not very dramatic or effective, because the story is neither sensational or inevitable and the love between the blind girl and the music-master, who has taken her and cared for her when orphaned, does not powerfully convince. We feel too sure that he is going to give her up to her grandfather in the end. It is a fair offering, not a big or noteworthy one.
