Tammy and Sammy were bored on that day when Simon Thaddeus Mulberry Pew came to play. But the boy was thoroughly obnoxious and so, Sammy and Tammy knew that Pew had to go. When Simon suggested a game, they weren't thrilled 'til it ended with Simon Thaddeus Mulberry Pew getting killed! The Whizzit arrived to help clean up their mess, but the end of this story you'd never quite guess...
Mostly in black and white (except for the Technicolor character of The Whizzit), this lengthy short is a blatant spoof of "The Cat in the Hat," complete with endless dialogue spoken in rhyme. Although the plot and some of the language seems mean-spirited, the film spends so much time reveling in its own absurdity that it never comes across as coal-black as the material actually is. The actors all seemed to be having fun with their roles -- and John Kassir in particular gave a (patented) scenery-devouring performance. All in all, it's a wonderfully demented little film, and a fun way to waste 20 minutes of your life.
