Ballets bleus.
ulicknormanowen24 April 2023
The subject was already broached by Yves Boisset in "la femme flic",starring Miou-Miou in 1979 with much more talent and modesty .The film insisted that pedophiles were wealthy bourgeois people whose money could buy anything : which,as anybody can read in the papers is not accurate ;this unspeakable horror is unfortunately found in every class of the society .

Michel Galabru ,cast against type in the dramatic part of a grandfather in search of his grandson ,kidnapped by a pedophilia network , tries his best to make his character convincing ,but directing leaves him to his own devices and the characters around him are cardboard :the selfish journalist whose only purpose is to get a scoop, the bourgeois who "helps " the granddaddy in his luxury apartment; and, worse, which is even more hateful , an unfriendly look at the gay people: if we are to believe the screenwriters, they are responsible for providing the upper classes with victims for their "ballets bleus "(=sexual orgies organized by paedophiles and involving young boys)

The intentions were good, the results are abysmal and eminently questionable.
