Toutes ces belles promesses is a wonderful french movie, I think it is the most beautiful work of Jean-Paul Civeyrac.I am so enthusiastic that I give 10 to this film. I have seen Fantomes and Le doux amour des hommes (others movies of Civeyrac), they were sensitives stories and sensitives pictures with very personal musical choices. But in All the fine promises there is the nostalgia of childhood. A woman (Jeanne Balibar which is really an excellent actress) remembers about all the fines promises of his childhood. When she was a little girl she discovered the birth of love with her nanny. I am very fond of the shorts appearances of the little girl and her nanny. The young nanny (Valerie Crunchant) incarnates the life and the goodness with a lot of emotion.Civeyrac makes very successful pictures with her. It is particularly because of those singles things of childhood that I am fond of this film. And there is Mendelsohn's music. Since I saw this film I love this composer.
