Punk breaks into elderly woman's apartment and tries to rob her, but she recognizes he's a harmless lost soul and "talks him down". Meanwhile her unmarried daughter comes to the door in panic for her mother's safety and her mother, more concerned about her unmarried status, tries to get her interested in one of the cops who have been summoned. Cast as 'a typical Jewish mother" as we used to cast them 20 years ago, woman ends up walking the attempt-to-be robber out to the police after convincing him to give himself up. Heartwarming, with a little humor. one of those "pretty good' dramas with good acting from 20 years ago. The human exchanges, with their warmth and humor, are unforgettable.
