I really like the format used here. Taking the 'Girls Next Door' idea and using it to feature women looking to become Playmates. Amateur footage then professional photoshoots followed by video segments. It's a winning combo. Some familiar models earn it another notch. Heather Kozar - PMOTY 1999 - hosts 'American Beauties' but doesn't get naked.
After an intro (3 mins) sets the stage, "Amy Miller" is up first. This busty blonde co-starred in the best segment during their 'Girls of the Hard Rock' video. Amateur vid shows her strutting her stuff, talking before the photoshoot plays up big bubbles & big hair. Amy lightly reminds me of the late Anna Nicole Smith physically. Then she pulls a secret agent motif for her video that captures many nice shots of her body. Closeups included. A good way to start things off (7.5 mins).
"Amelia Garduno" appeared in the excellent 'Lusty Latin Ladies' video as well as in the last chapter of the 'Wet 'N Wild' series. This Puerto Rican beauty shows off her tight body in her submitted video before a glamorous photoshoot that also doubles with some nice video angles. Then she has a pirate inspired strip complete with a treasure chest and spilling good coins over her boobs. A solid follow-up (8 mins).
"Jessica Turner" gets shown in her best light during the amateur stuff & pro photoshoot. She's dressed up like a cowgirl in the latter and the look really suits her. It doesn't hurt that the camera provides many good close-ups. That leaves me to say her video segment as she strips in an outdoor gothic-like piece doesn't reach the same height (8 mins).
"Natasha Yi" is an attractive Asian that her amateur footage has no problem showcasing. In a voiceover she talks about her origins with Playboy. How she was approached while in High School to pose. The way she talks here you think she turned them down, but she did actually end up posing for the magazine at that point. It's an odd narrative choice. Photo time once again doubles as a nice video segment. The real deal finds her on the red carpet and on the hood of a car that continues giving nice looks at this gorgeous lady (7.5 mins).
"Simone Bridrito" has decent amateur footage & she's good looking, but her photoshoot & actual video could have been better ... hotter. She comes alive as part of a live painting idea in her video that just didn't work for me (7.5 mins). "Cedie Charles" comes across like a shy firecracker in her amateur material. Her photoshoot is pretty good too, but her video segment can't hold a candle. It's got some decent shots, but feels pretty short (7 mins).
