This picture is unusual enough and good enough to make a good feature picture. It is markedly educational and it tells a very interesting story. The story in this setting, primitive and simple, has much beauty. The girl whom the Eskimo youth intends to make his bride is attracted by the white man, a hunter whom her lover has saved from freezing to death. The white man deserts her and her lover saves her from drowning herself and takes her to his home as his wife after the tribal medicine man has anointed her with sacred oil and chased away the evil spirit. The backgrounds are the ice fields and ice huts. Many Eskimo habits and customs and ways of living are shown as incidents in the story. It is very commendable. - The Moving Picture World, July 29, 1911
