Note: Do not read on if you have not seen Season 5, Episode 21 of The CW's "Gossip Girl," entitled "Despicable B."
How do you solve a problem like Blair Waldorf? Our staple "Gossip Girl" anti-heroine has been suffering from something of an identity crisis over the past couple of seasons, lurching from man to man and plan to plan with none of her former wit or withering disdain. The good thing about "Despicable B" is that the writers have apparently wised up to the fact that she's had totally bipolar characterization for a while now, and I guess it's better late than never to address that imbalance. We all know that the show is never going to recapture the glory days of its first two seasons, but this week's episode was at least a little less blunt-force obvious than "Salon of the Dead" -- enough for us to scrape together five...

Chillerama introduced the world to a number of things, from sex-hungry ghouls to man-eating semen, but perhaps the most memorable segment in last year’s anthology hit is Tim Sullivan’s I Was A Teenage Werebear. The hybrid of Rebel Without A Cause and Beach Blanket Bingo (with a little bit of s&m) is a hilarious musical that goes over the top to a sweet tune. Now the tunes featured in Werebear are available in a limited edition soundtrack that, despite being on the market less than 24 hours at this point, is already causing waves.
Sullivan initially offered the disc on Ebay as a bulk quantity auction, but within hours, the auction giant removed his listing, citing it as, “sexually and morally offensive.” As a result, the filmmaker has had to ask interested parties to order directly from him by sending an request to newrebel2211@gmail.com with your...

Sunday was a ho-hum night for the Big Four networks with the exception of CBS, which scored with a football overrun and Christmas-themed telefilm starring Tyne Daly and Jami Gertz. CBS won the night by a huge margin with an assist from a half-hour football overrun into primetime and a solid turnout for its 9-11 p.m. movie Undercover Christmas, which brought in 18 million viewers and 4.7 rating/12 share in the adults 18-49 demographic, according to preliminary estimates from Nielsen Media Research. NBC opened the night with a repeat of last year's Saturday Night Live (6.5 million, 2.4/6) holiday special, followed by a little-watched repeat of The Tracy Morgan Show (4.5 million, 2.0/5). The peacock's fortunes perked up a bit from 9-11 pm. with its airing of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (9.2 million, 3.9/10).
