Among the vast landscape of media and cinema, the Power Rangers franchise is a rare exception for being one of the most liked and revered media franchises of all time. Spanning over 29 seasons with numerous narratives, it has cast a plethora of actors as Power Rangers as well as in other roles.

While many of our favorite Rangers have unfortunately turned out to be one-hit-wonders, failing to make it big in the huge film industry, a handful of these actors present an exception. These rare gems or Power Rangers have managed to create their own identity outside the franchise and are now hailed as revered actors.
So, without further delay, here are 6 actors who survived the franchise curse and made it far in the film industry, leaving their Ranger identities behind.

Update: The rumor of Jason David Frank's involvement has been debunked by Jason David Frank on his official fan page.
I've got a couple bits of new Power Rangers movie news to share with you today. Just yesterday we got our first look at what Goldar will look like in the film, and it was completely trashed by the fans. The images of the villain sparked a little argument with Blake Foster on his Instagram page which caused him to drop a bit of news about the film. In case you don't know who Foster is, he plays Justin Stewart/Blue Ranger in the Power Rangers Turbo series.
It seems like he must have a little inside information because during the argument he said, "you don't even know bro but Jdf is in it so don't come on my page trying to bash people."
Jdf would be short for Jason David Frank,...

This weekend, I had the opportunity to attend my first ever comic convention, Wizard World Comic Con in Louisville, Kentucky. Among various opportunities for the press, I had the opportunity to meet and briefly interview one of my childhood heroes, Jason David Frank. Frank’s notoriety is due in large part to his time on Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers (as the Green and White Rangers), Power Rangers Zeo (as the Red Ranger), Power Rangers Turbo (as the first Red Ranger), and Power Rangers Dino Thunder (as the Black Ranger). He also has appeared in the films based on the Mighty Morphin’ and Turbo properties, and has made cameo appearances on more recent Power Rangers seasons, such as Power Rangers Wild Force’s “Forever Red” and, most recently, Power Rangers Super Megaforce’s “Legendary Battle.” Nowadays, Frank (commonly known as “Jdf”) keeps busy by visiting many different Comic-Cons, filming a reality series about his life…...

The Walt Disney Co.'s Power Rangers franchise will go prehistoric for its new season. Power Rangers DinoThunder, which transports the popular fighting force into the realm of the dinosaurs, will return the franchise for its 12th season in the U.S. market and its second under Disney ownership. The company acquired the Japan-bred franchise, which morphs into a different series each season, as part of its takeover of Fox Family Worldwide in 2001. Beginning Feb. 14, DinoThunder will join the schedule on Jetix, a new action-adventure programming block that runs on cable networks ABC Family and Toon Disney, where the series is making its debut. The series also will begin its run one week later in the Saturday morning lineup at ABC. Together with the 11th version of the series, Ninja Force, Rangers will occupy 17 time slots each week on Disney-owned channels.
