Revenge drama

Papi Pet Ka Sawaal Hai is produced & directed by Sohanlal Kanwar. It was released amidst great expectations after kaka's 3 consecutive hits - avtaar, souten & agar tum na hote.

It has Jayapradha as heroine. It is a routine story of revenge which was usually done by amitabh at that time. Rajesh khanna does not much to do here by way of acting. His romance with jayapradha does not jell in this movie which is surprising.

The film took a tremendous opening & then settled down in the average hit category.

Songs are a let down except the title song which is OK. Direction is nothing much to write about.

This movie is a revenge drama. Rajesh Khanna is playing a robin hood type of a character. Singing by the day and robbing the rich in the night. This is a often repeated plot which depends on the performance of Super Star. The superstar does not let down but the plot, the presentation, the direction does a bit of let down. The music by Shankar Jaikishan is a let down- sometimes it sounds too loud. The movie gets stretched because of the songs which could have been done away with too make it entertaining. Anyway the fans of Rajesh Khanna will like the movie as it has him in all the angles and the movie largely revolves round him and he has done his part relatively well. This 1984 movie is a must see for Rajesh Khanna fans as he is there in a variety of characters in the movie and tries to pull the movie on the basis of his performance.
