Joseph Wambaugh’s breakthrough novel went through a blender to fit George C. Scott into the narrative, but it’s still a great cop show with terrific work from Stacy Keach and Scott Wilson, not to mention Jane Alexander and Rosalind Cash. The pro-cop agenda has a definite tone of personal experience, and the grim finish is anything but feel-good puffery.

Disney's "Big Hero 6" is one of the most visually astonishing movies you'll probably ever see, animated otherwise. It's set in a futuristic mash-up of Tokyo and San Francisco and concerns the adventures of a young science prodigy named Hiro (Ryan Potter) who befriends an inflatable nurse robot named Baymax (Scott Adsit) and, together, set to rid their city of evil. Based on a Marvel property but utilizing an energy and stylization that is pure Disney Animation Studios, it's also one of the more heart-tugging movies you'll see all year.
And the immense challenge of meshing the theatrics of a big screen superhero movie with the boy-meets-robot relationship dynamics of something like "Iron Giant" (or "E.T.") fell to directors Chris Williams and Don Hall. Both are Disney animation vets, with Hall having directed the beautifully, profoundly underrated "Winnie the Pooh" and Williams helming "Bolt." It's safe to say that the...

(Cbr) At the beginning of "The Tomorrow People’s" freshman season, the CW drama’s creator Phil Klemmer promised a coming of age tale. And now with the season finale, the writer is looking to press the show into a more grown up action adventure. After 21 episodes of double crosses, family revelations and battles between the titular evolved teenagers and the clandestine organization known as Ultra, series lead Stephen (Robbie Amell) is set to make up for the mistakes of his scientist father all while his uncle Jedekiah (Mark Pellegrino) uses his newfound power to tear the world apart. And while that conflict has been brewing for a while, Klemmer promised even more big changes as the show turns the page towards what he hopes is a very different, adult Season 2 pickup. In advance of tonight’s season finale – the aptly titled “Son of Man” – Spinoff spoke to the executive...

Bryan Fuller’s Hannibal completed its much ballyhooed first season this past Thursday [review here]. That means, it’s time to speculate about season 2 (thank heavens it got one!), and Bryan Fuller gave us what to expect for Will Graham, Jack Crawford, Hannibal and the show next year. The “Postmortem” is a long, excellent interview from TV Guide, which I’ll give to you in full here. Obviously, if you haven’t watched the season finale yet, there will be Spoilers aplenty ahead.
There’s only one place to start: Will vomits up an ear! Where did that idea come from?
Bryan Fuller: [Laughs] It was something that I knew was going to happen, even before I started writing the pilot. The last run of episodes was going to [have] Will Graham throwing up an ear, fearing that he had eaten somebody. Initially it was a finger, [but] I just thought, ‘There’s not...

Before Paul Wesley was sucking blood and taking names as Stefan Salvatore "The Vampire Diaries" and before Benjamin McKenzie was kicking ass with the Lapd as Ben Sherman on "Southland" (R.I.P.), the two were wrecking havoc on "The O.C.," bitch.
The former co-stars reunited at a screening of "Behind the Candelabra," looking very dapper. Wesley tweeted his excitement and a photo.

On "The O.C.," McKenzie portrayed Ryan Atwood, a reformed bad boy who moved in with the wealthy Cohen family in Newport Beach. In the first season, Ryan got a job as a busboy at the Crab Shack nearby, where he met Donnie (Wesley). When Seth (Andy Cohen) decided bring Ryan's coworker to a Newport beach party, Donnie decided to bring something himself: a gun. Of course,...

Another year brings another batch of fresh Nwo/WWE rumours to the masses. The Examier.com kicked it with off with the following;
“a source close to WWE programming spoke exclusively with WWE Examiner on Thursday [the 8th May 2013] to reveal what could be a bombshell development in World Wrestling Entertainment. Although the source cautions that the report has not be confirmed by Vince McMahon personally, it is believed that the WWE Chairman may have recently spoken with WWE legend and current Tna frontman Hulk Hogan about making an appearance at Wrestlemania 30 next April in New Orleans.”
Wow! Okay this is a big one. And although it is not surprising, as every year there are reports of either Sting finally coming to the WWE for a match with The Undertaker or something that involves the Nwo, they never fail to shock me. These wild rumours are always wrong, as they are a result...

Mad Men's sixth season is to kick off with a two-hour premiere in the Us on Sunday the 7th of April...
"Are you alone?"
Those were the words Mad Men's season five finale left us with, a not-so innocent question posed in a smoky bar to Don Draper by the latest in the catwalk of beautiful women who pass through his life. In typical Mad Men fashion, the line meant more than it seemed. Is Don Draper alone? Will he always be alone?
We won't have long to wait for his answer, as AMC confirmed this morning that the sixth season of Matthew Weiner's sixties-set drama is to begin on Sunday the 7th of April in the Us. Following the series five model, episodes one and two are to be shown as a two-hour season premiere on Sunday the 7th starting at 9pm,...

These boys can’t seem to catch a break. But that’s pretty much business as usual on Supernatural. Less usual? The season’s high body count.
Now, Supernatural has never shied away from giving key players the figurative (and sometimes literal) axe — and oftentimes, they’ve returned at some point in the series. But this year, two fan favorites met their maker (first angel pal Castiel and more recently lovable curmudgeon Bobby Singer). The price was as high as it’s ever been. And as the boys continue to mourn their losses this season (Rip Bobby… sorta) (Rip Cas,...

Friday's "Supernatural" episode saw the Mother of All meet her demise, and dropped a shocking bomb on us: Castiel (Misha Collins) and Crowley (Mark Sheppard) are working together. This was especially surprising given the part where we all thought we'd watched Castiel roast Crowley without blinking an eye.
In this week's May 6 episode, we'll finally see some explanation for Castiel's desperate actions throughout the season. He's spent a lot of the season battling his angel brethren for control of Heaven, and that battle is about to come crashing back to earth.
Executive producer Bob Singer tells Zap2it, "We always thought that a war in heaven is best told off screen, but you're going to see a lot of Castiel dealing with his problems coming up. The last run of episodes is very Castiel-heavy. There's some very interesting stuff that we're doing with him. His problem in Heaven will certainly...

The new season of Donald Trump and Mark Burnett's reality competition "The Apprentice" (the non-celebrity edition) returns to NBC on September 16. And while taping for the series' tenth season has already concluded, the 16 competitors are only now being revealed.
"I am very excited to have the civilian version of 'The Apprentice' back on the air this fall," Trump says, subtly pointing out that celebrities should never be mistaken for normal people. "The new edition will combine the realities of today's economic downturn with the grittiness, drama and excitement of the original series. Each of this season's 16 contestants has been hit hard by the economy and they are fighting back."
This may surprise you, but we haven't had a regular "Apprentice" since the economy took a toilet bath. The last run of the series concluded in April, 2007, so producers clearly had an especially large crop of candidate to choose from.
